Crating a Safe Haven from Sex Trafficking
A Grand Rapids organization is working to raise money and create a safe haven from sex trafficking.
SweetWater Girls Ranch will host its first fundraising event October 16th at Timberlake Lodge.
The event will include a silent auction, raffle and a conference to learn about the startling statistics of sex trafficking.
Research has revealed 213 girls are sold an average of five times a day for sex in Minnesota.
Guest speakers will include Senator Amy Klobuchar, a trafficked survivor and the founded of SweetWater Girls Ranch.
