Johnston Drops Lawsuit Against Duluth School Board

School Board Member Dismisses Lawsuit

School board member Art Johnston has dropped his federal lawsuit against the Duluth School Board.

Johnston had initially filed the suit to protect his right to free expression after the board tried to have him removed.

That attempt failed.

The school district had accused Johnston of shoving Superintendent Bill Gronseth and chair Mike Miernike.

Johnston said those claims were baseless.

He says he may resort to legal action again in the future.
