Conference to Promote Green Building Held in Duluth

Supporting Creating Environmentally Friendly Buildings

An event in Duluth is trying to help people create buildings that are environmentally friendly.

Architects, interior designers, developers and other community professionals attended the 6th U.S. Green Building Conference.

It’s hosted by the U.S. Green Building Council which is known for its LEED certification of buildings.

Organizers say the event is important because they want to support the trend of building green.

“The goal of this conference is to promote and support the green building industry in the state of Minnesota,” said director of development and membership for the Minnesota Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.

These conferences are held twice a year and the theme for Thursday’s event was resiliency.
