Sports Director

KQDS FOX 21 in Duluth, Minnesota is looking for Sports Director candidates. Primary duties include anchoring/producing evening sportscasts. You will also be serving as a sports reporter. Contributing frequent website/social media content is also a requirement.
If you enjoy just hanging out behind a desk reading highlights, this job is probably not for you. Our viewers expect more than just scores and game recaps. You will spend a lot of time out of the building doing sports journalism. We strive for in-depth coverage of local and regional sports throughout our three state viewing area. Sure, we cover pro sports. But coverage of our very successful collegiate/high school teams and athletes remains our top priority. Outdoor activities like hunting, fishing, skiing, etc. are also very important to us.
Must have experience in a television newsroom, be able to shoot/edit non-linear formats, be willing to work various schedules and be comfortable meeting tight deadlines. The ideal candidate also has a college/university degree.
