Moose collides with car on Iron Range, one injured
Moose deceased at scene of accident
(AP) – One person is injured and a moose is dead after the animal collided with a car on Minnesota’s Iron Range.
The crash happened early Saturday on Highway 169 in Keewatin.
The Minnesota State Patrol says a Ford Fusion was eastbound on the highway when a moose came out of the ditch in front of the car.
The moose caused extensive damage to the car and died at the scene.
A 28-year-old passenger was hurt, but her injuries are not life-threatening.
