Search Continues for 3 Missing Boaters

Life Jackets Recovered from Fish Lake

A search will resume for three missing boaters on Lake of the Woods in far northern Minnesota.

Lake of the Woods County Sheriff Gary Fish said Monday a capsized boat was found on the lake by a fishing guide Saturday afternoon.

The three men from Baudette were last seen leaving Sunset Lodge on Oak Island about 11:30 p.m. Friday.

Fish says three life jackets were recovered from the lake.

The sheriff says a search for the men began Saturday evening, continued Sunday and will resume Monday morning.

Fish says the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, based in Grand Forks, North Dakota, has provided a plane to help in the search.
