Texas Roadhouse Butcher slices up competition in meat cutting challenge
A butcher from Duluth’s Texas Roadhouse has proved he’s a cut above the rest in a national meat cutting competition.
Dan Willeck took first place in a National Meat Cutting Challenge in La Crosse, Wisconsin on Tuesday.
Willeck sliced up the competition, going up against 20 other professional meat cutters from across the Midwest.
The challenge is the only one of it’s kind. Butchers had an hour and a half to cut up 40 pounds of beef, with the winner cutting the most steaks, with the highest quality cut in the least amount of time.
Willeck will now move on to compete in Orlando, Florida in March for a chance at $20,000.
