City to Close 3rd Street Friday to Install Gas Line

The City of Duluth will close a portion of 3rd Street Friday to install a gas line. 

Third Street will be closed to traffic from Lake Avenue to 2nd Avenue West from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Crews from Hanco Utilities and the City of Duluth will be working to install a new gas main connection on 1st Avenue West.

Drivers are asked to detour on Lake Avenue to 4th Street, then 4th to 2nd Avenue West, and 2nd Avenue West back to 3rd Street.
