Law Enforcement Cracking Down on Seat Belt Violations

Law enforcement throughout Minnesota will be cracking down on drivers failing to buckle up.

It’s all part of the statewide Click It or Ticket campaign running October 9 through the 25th.

More than 300 law enforcement agencies will be out on the roads making sure you take the time to put on your seatbelt.

Police say men more often than women choose to not to buckle up.

Authorities say 50 percent of drivers killed on Minnesota roads this year were not wearing a seatbelt.

It’s a reminder, say police, that seatbelts save lives.
