Portion of Michigan Street to Close for Road Work

A portion of Michigan Street will close for nearly three weeks to complete work for the Duluth Transit Authority’s Multimodal Transportation Center. 

Starting October 12, Michigan Street will be closed between 2nd Avenue West and 3rd Avenue West , including the intersection at 3rd Avenue West and Michigan Street.

The closure is to facilitate signal and road work in the area of the the DTA’s new multimodal transportation center. 

Throughout the duration of the closure, there will be two-way traffic on Michigan Street between 3rd Avenue West and 4th Avenue West to accommodate traffic coming and going from parking lots along that section of Michigan Street. 

The closures shouldn’t last more than three weeks.
