Duluth Man Arrested in Death of White Earth Toddler

A Duluth man has been arrested in connection to the death of a 3-year-old boy in White Earth, Minnesota.

The Becker County Sheriff’s Office says charges are pending against the 23-year-old following an incident at a home in Maple Grove Township on Wednesday.

Authorities responded to a home on reports of a child with a head injury.

3-year-old Steven Warren was ambulanced to St. Mary’s Hospital in Detroit Lakes before being transferred to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo, where he was pronounced dead.

Police say Warren’s autopsy shows he died as a result of homicidal violence.

Authorities believe there is no additional threat to the public.

The White Earth Police Department, Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension, Becker County Sheriff’s Office and the Becker County Attorney’s Office are investigating the incident.
