Body of Justin Haugtvedt Recovered
(AP) – Law enforcement officers have recovered the body of one of three missing men on Lake of the Woods in northern Minnesota.
The Lake of the Woods County Sheriff’s Department says the body of Justin Haugtvedt was recovered around 5 p.m. Friday in the southwest area of Oak Island in about 14 feet of water.
Deputies were using side scan sonar when they located Haugtvedt’s body.
Authorities continued searching Saturday for the other missing boaters, Keith Ayers and Cory Ostendorf.
Sheriff Gary Fish says the men’s capsized boat was found on the lake last Saturday.
The three men from Baudette were last seen leaving Sunset Lodge on Oak Island late on Oct. 2.
