Firefighters Save Eight Point Buck from Kaukauna River

Typically getting up close and personal with an eight point buck doesn’t even happen during hunting season. 

But it happened for a group of firefighters after reports of the deer stuck swimming around in a river. 

The firemen found the buck trying to get back on land after ending up in a canal in downtown Kaukauna, Wisconsin. 

The deer didn’t like getting too close.  After more than hour and a little bit of a struggle, fire crews were finally able to grab it and pull it to safety. 

The buck eventually took off back into the woods. 

Some of the firemen joked that they wouldn’t mind seeing the buck again once hunting season comes around.
