MNDot Seeks Input on Statewide Biking Plan
The Minnesota Department of Transportation is seeking public comment on a statewide bicycle system plan.
More than 4,500 Minnesotans participated in open houses last spring to help MNDot develop the plan.
The plan represents MNDot’s vision and goals for bicycle transportation, implementation strategies and performance measures to evaluate progress towards achieving their vision.
MNDot is working to improve the safety and comfort of bicyclists by investing in infrastructure and improving conditions across state highways.
A draft of the plan is available for review here.
If you wish to email any comments on the plan, you can do so to bikeplan.DOT@state.mn.us. Comments can be submitted through May 16.
Coffee shop chats to discuss the plan are being scheduled throughout the month of November in Bemidji, Grand Rapids, Mankato, Minneapolis and Rochester.
