Rice Lake Holds First Elections

Mayor and Four Councilors Elected

Minnesota’s newest city can now boast its newest Mayor.

Former township supervisor John Werner was elected Mayor of Rice Lake, Tuesday.

Werner was one of three candidates for mayor, Jaymie Heim and Russell Isola were the other two candidates. 

Two seats on the first city council will be held by Werner’s fellow town board members.

Greg Andrews and John Goman ran unopposed for four year council seats.

Susan Herstad and Robert Quade were both elected to 2 year seats.
