Jefferson Lines is expanding bus service for riders from Duluth to the Twin Cities.

Starting Thursday, the bus company will be offering three daily departures to and from Duluth, with added destinations to the Minneapolis- St. Paul Airport and the Mall of America.

The company is also giving travelers the option to take day trips to both Duluth and the Iron Range.

The early departures to Minneapolis will allow travelers time to connect with buses scheduled to head to places such as Sioux Falls or Rochester.

The ticket prices between Duluth and the Twin cities start at $25 each way.

The Duluth expansion is helping Jefferson Lines prepare for the move to the Duluth Transit Authority’s new Transportation Center, which is scheduled to open in January of 2016.
