A twin-cities based organization is setting out to thank law enforcement across the state.

Firefighter Special Teams is made up of many first responders who are inspired to give back to the community.

The founder of the organization, Jeff Loeks, says they’ve done several different charities from Special Olympics to food shelves and local care centers.

This Saturday, October 17, they are starting their three-day trip across the state to stop at police departments that have been sponsored.

The group begins their trip in Baudette, presenting an award of appreciation.

With a donation, the group can stop at a police department and thank them.

If there is a department you’d like to sponsor, you can check out the Firefighter Special Teams website, or head to their GoFundMe page

They also have a Facebook page with the information.
