Power Outage Hits Downtown Duluth

Around 1,600 people and businesses are currently without power in downtown Duluth.

The power went out around 1:40 Friday afternoon.

Amy Rutledge, Manager of Corporate Communications for Minnesota Power, said there is an issue at one of their substations.

Crews are out working on it.

As of now, there is no estimated time on when power will be restored.

The company’s website shows smaller outages reported in West Duluth as well.
