An advertising and branding studio in Duluth is hosting a sock drive to benefit homeless people.

Swim Creative is hosting the drive in conjunction with Socktober, an international event that encourages people to donate socks to the homeless.

“I thought it was a fun easy event to get our whole staff on board, as well as the community because I didn’t see anyone else in the community doing it, so I thought I’d take initiative and start a box at swim creative,” said Amber Ooley, the Digital Strategist at Swim Creative.

All the socks Swim Creative Receives will be donated to Life House, a resource center for Duluth’s homeless youth.

Swim Creative has a goal of donating 100 pairs of socks to Lifehouse.

The sock drive runs through the end of the month.

If you’d like donate, you can drop your socks off at Swim Creative 415 East Superior STreet, or start your own Socktober box.
