Hikers Found Safe After Search near Ely
Two hikers are safe after getting lost on a trail near Ely Monday night.
According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office, 22-year-old Leaane Martin and 25-year-old Rachel Skrobot called and sent text messages to a friend asking for help because they were lost.
The women were lost on the Angleworm Lake Trail, off of the Echo Trail.
The two were located around 1:10 a.m. by the St. Louis County Volunteer Rescue Squad.
No one was injured.
