Flags for Fallen Military

5K Run/Walk Organized by High School Student

More than 50 people took part in a 5K run/walk Saturday morning in Minong to raise money for Flags for Fallen Military.

The organization places an American Flag in honor of each fallen hero.

A senior at Northwood High School organized the walk for his senior project.

The young man’s cousin Adam VanAlstine was killed in Iraq in 2006 and Flags for Fallen Military blessed his family with a flag.

Saturday’s fundraiser brought in more than $500-dollars.
