Northlanders dined on a meatball dinner Monday to help support local Special Olympics.

The 34th Annual Kevin Kadermas Memorial Meatball Dinner was held at Concordia Lutheran Church.

It was co-founded by Kadermas who was a high school Special Olympics coach who passed away 10 years ago.

All the money raised will go toward sending the Special Olympians to state and regional games.

“I’m just thankful for all the support from our community. People talk about it and wait for it to happen. It’s just wonderful to have everybody’s support,” said Teri Franson, a co-organizer of the event.

Organizers expected to serve more than 500 people.
