Missing Man Found Dead in Grand Rapids
A body found in Grand Rapids Monday is that of a man reported missing on Saturday.
Authorities say,however, that no foul play is suspected in the death of 39-year-old Samuel Bellanger.
Bellanger was reported missing by his mother on October 24. She told police he left his home on October 22 to shop at Wal-Mart in Grand Rapids. She spoke to him on the phone on October 23 and hadn’t heard from him since. She told police that was unusual.
On Monday, October 26 police responded to reports of a body next to a building in the 600 block of South Pokegama Avenue. They located the body of an adult male, later identified as Bellanger.
The cause of death is pending the results of an autopsy.
The Grand Rapids Police Department and Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension are investigating the incident.
