Wild Grant St. Louis County Girl’s Wish

Bridget Villebrun Signed Honorary One-Day Contract

While the National Football League turns pink in October to raise breast cancer awareness, the National Hockey League goes purple to recognize the fight against all forms of cancer.

Tuesday was the Wild’s turn to host a ‘Hockey Fights Cancer’ night.  As part of the event, the State of Hockey’s club teamed up with the Make a Wish foundation to give 18 year old Bridget Villebrun a very special day.

Bridget, from Nett Lake in northern St. Louis County, has been fighting Non–Hodgkins Lymphoma for more than a year.

Villebrun signed an honorary one-day contract with the Wild, and spent Tuesday at the Xcel Energy Center, meeting members of the organization, including her favorite player Mikael Granlund.
