Medical Examiner: Body Found in Field is Missing Minnesota Woman
The body found in a field in Douglas County, Minnesota on Monday is that of a missing Minnesota teen.
The Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed Friday that the body belongs to 18-year-old Laura Schwendemann.
Autopsy results to determine the cause and manner of death are still pending.
Schwendemann was last seen alive on October 14 at the Holiday gas station on 50th Avenue in Alexandria around 9:30 p.m.
Police say Schwendemann left the gas station with a man she knew, however they do not believe she left voluntarily.
The sheriff’s office has identified and spoken to the man, who they say is a person of interest.
