Pedestrian Dies after being Struck by Semi in Pine County

Authorities have identified the person who died after being struck by a semi-truck in Pine County. 

Police say 35-year-old Tina Rushmeyer, of Pine City, was killed. 

The incident happened around 3:30 Tuesday morning. 

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 56-year-old Scott Madison of Cottage Grove, Minnesota, was driving his Volvo semi-truck northbound on Interstate 35 just outside of Willow River when he struck Rushmeyer. 

Madison was not injured in the accident. 

The accident remains under investigation.
