Five Stabbed on California College Campus

Five people were injured in a stabbing on a California college campus Wednesday. 

Police responded to reports of a stabbing at the University of California-Merced around 8:00 Wednesday morning. 

The suspect was shot and killed by police.

Two of the victims were airlifted to a local hospital. Their condition is unknown at this time. 

The other three had minor injuries and were treated on campus. 

The campus is closed for the day and all classes canceled. 

The lockdown has been lifted, but police are urging people to avoid campus for the rest of the day Wednesday.
