Police: Anoka Child Abduction Did Not Happen
Authorities in Anoka say that a reported abduction of a 10-year-old boy did not happen.
Police attempted to verify stories from the family and the young boy and determined the abduction report to be false.
The child also indicated to police that no abduction actually took place.
The boy initially told police he was walking in the area of the 600 block of Brisbin Street in Anoka when someone grabbed him in a bear hug and put him into a black or dark colored cargo van.
He said he was able to push open a rear door of the van and escaped in the parking lot of Chipotle at Riverdale Crossings.
Police say there is no cause for alarm or concern to the general public.
