The Salvation Army announced the beginning of the 2015 holiday fundraising campaign and the goal for Duluth is over a quarter of a million dollars.

The Salvation army made their announcement at Bentleyville, with lights blazing and reindeer mascots present.

The goal for 2015 is $275,000 from the bell ringers alone.

Salvation Army representatives say they don’t believe the goal is too lofty, because last year they raised around $273,000 through the traditional bell ringers.

Visitors to Bentleyville, Wednesday, were able to donate and meet Salvation Army representatives, and even take a look inside the famous Bentleyville Christmas Tree.
