Foul Play Suspected in Bemidji Woman’s Disappearance

The Bemidji Police Department and the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension say they believe foul play is suspected and have identified two persons of interest in the disappearance of a Bemidji woman.

Authorities announced Thursday that 40-year-old Marchello Anthony Cimmarusti, and 27-year-old Christopher John Davis are persons of interest in connection to the disappearance of Rose Downwind.

Authorities say a pewter colored 2002 GMC Yukon with Minnesota plate 325-MGP is also connected to the case.

Downwind was last seen on October 21 leaving a home on Stoner Avenue.

The search for Downwind has been focused to an area north of Bemidji, including Lake Bemidji State Park and the Buena Vista State Forest, specifically the area between the North end of Lake Bemidji and Lindgren Road, between County Road 9 and County Road 23.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the two men or the vehicle between October 19 to October 29, to come forward.

Home and property owners are being asked to check structures and acreage for any signs of suspicious activity.  Hunters are also being asked to check their trail cameras for suspicious activity, images of the persons of interest or the vehicle.

If you have any information on the case, you are asked to contact the Bemidji Police Department at 218-333-9111.
