UW-Superior Named Military Friendly School

For the sixth year in a row, the University of Wisconsin-Superior has been named a Military Friendly School by Victory Media.

The university currently enrolls around 112 military vets and current military members.

Military service members, veterans and their families make up around 5 percent of the entire student body.

UWS opened a resource center in 2012 aimed at helping non-traditional students and veterans complete their degrees.

The school was selected based on support offered for vets, graduation and employment outcomes and military spouse policies, among other things.

UWS is one of 1,400 colleges around the nation chosen as a top Military Friendly School.
