Bail Set at $150,000 for Sawyer County Abduction Suspect

Bail has been set at $150,000 for the man accused of abducting another man at gunpoint in Sawyer County.

39-year-old Todd Prochaska is charged with false imprisonment and kidnapping.

At a court hearing Monday, the judge ordered Prochaska not to have contact with the victim, his wife and another man.

Prochaska allegedly abducted 40-year-old Justin Hill at gunpoint on Friday, November 6.

He was arrested Saturday night at the Super 8 Motel in Superior after authorities pinged his cell phone.

Prochaska, his wife and Hill were all in the hotel room and surrendered to police.

Hill was injured and taken by ambulance to a local hospital.  The extent of his injuries remain unknown at this time.

The arrest was the result of a multi-agency investigation with the Sawyer County Sheriff’s office, Washburn County Sheriff’s Office, Rusk County Sheriff’s Office, Douglas County, and the Superior Police Department.
