Superior Police Investigating Body Found on Connor’s Point; No Foul Play Suspected

The Superior Police Department says no foul play is suspected in the death of a man found dead on Connor’s Point.

Authorities responded to the area underneath the overpass of U.S. 53 near the intersection of North 5th Street around 7:45 Sunday night on reports of a body found.

A BNSF railroad crew found the body of a man lying alongside the railroad tracks.

Police and the Douglas County Medical Examiner’s Office were called in.

Police say the man is 48-years-old.  His name is being withheld pending notification of family.

Authorities believe no foul is suspected in his death, and that the railroad tracks did not play a role.

The incident remains under investigation by the Superior Police Department.
