Five Nabbed on Drug Charges in Superior
Five people were arrested in Superior after police raided a home, seizing drugs and cash.
The Northwest Area Crime Unit and the Lake Superior Drug and Violent Crime Task Force executed a search warrant at 1520 Ogden Avenue on October 27 as part of an investigation into heroin trafficking from the home.
During their search, police found 77.07 grams of heroin, over $6,000 in cash, numerous drug paraphernalia items and marijuana.
Police say 77.07 grams of heroin has an approximate street value of $15,000.
Authorities arrested five people in the bust.
Marshawn Johnson, of Chicago, fled the home, and was arrested after a short foot pursuit with investigators.
Johnson is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver- heroin and Resisting and Obstructing an Officer.
Michael Jenkins, of Chicago, is charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver-Heroin.
Matthew Thompson and Lydia Higgins, both of Superior, were charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver Heroin and Possession of Narcotic Drugs.
Brandon Lahti was charged with Possession of Narcotic Drugs.
