Nine Killed in Akron Plane Crash

Nine people are dead after a plane crashed in Akron, Ohio Tuesday.

The small jet crashed into an apartment building.

The jet took off from Dayton and was on approach to land at the Akron Fulton International Airport.

The plane crashed just two miles away from the airport.

No one was inside of the four-unit apartment building, or another house that caught fire when the plane exploded.

Pebb Enterprises, a Florida real estate company, said that seven of it’s associates were among the nine killed in the fiery crash.

The company released a statement saying they are “shocked and deeply saddened for the families, colleagues and friends of those who perished.”

Investigators returned to the site Wednesday morning to begin recovery efforts.

There is no word yet on what caused the crash.
