Vigil Set for Aurora Shooting Victim
A vigil has been set for the woman shot and killed in a domestic incident in Aurora Sunday night.
49-year-old Julie Hildreth died after being shot outside of the American Legion by her ex-boyfriend.
Friends and family are coming together to remember Hildreth at a vigil on Saturday at 6 p.m. at the American Legion in Aurora.
According to court records, the suspect, a 51-year-old man was on probation at the time of the shooting for allegedly assaulting Hildreth.
Hildreth also had a domestic abuse No Contact Order against him.
The suspect is behind bars pending formal charges.
He is expected to be charged Thursday.
According to Advocates Against Domestic Abuse, Hildreth is the 26th known victim of domestic violence homicide in Minnesota this year.
