Give to the Max Day Raises Over $18 Million

Minnesotans came out and donated more than $18 million dollars to their favorite schools and non-profits on “Give to the Max Day.”

More than 62,000 people donated to 5,694 organizations on Thursday. 

Donations came in from all 87 counties in Minnesota, all 50 states and dozens of countries around the world. 

Cretin-Derham Hall topped the list for fundraising.  Church of St. Joseph-Red Wing, Avalon Educational Institute and Augsburg College were among the top beneficiaries. 

Two $10,000 “Super Sized Golden Tickets” were awarded to Special Olympics Minnesota and the Minnesota Fallen Firefighters Memorial Association. 

Highlights of the day included more than $7 million in matching gifts and a lip-sync battle at the Mall of America featuring local school principals. 

Give Minnesota serves more than 10,000 nonprofit organizations and schools across Minnesota and more than 290,000 individual donors who have used the site to make a difference in their communities.
