Police: 35-40 Dead in Paris Shootings, Explosions

Authorities say anywhere from 35 to 40 people have been killed in shootings and explosions around Paris. 

French President Francois Hollande is closing the country’s borders ans has declared a state of emergency in Paris. 

The attack is the deadliest case of violence in France in decades. 

The shootings happened at a restaurant in Paris and the Bataclan Theater.

According to police, a hostage situation is underway at the theater.  At least 100 hostages have been taken. 

At least two explosions were heard near the Stade de France stadium. 

French officials are calling it a terrorist attack.
