Be A Santa For A Senior Kicks Off
Seniors Receive Gifts From Community Members
This December it doesn’t matter if you are young or old everyone likes to have something to unwrap come Christmas morning and without, be a Santa for a senior, many seniors would have nothing on Christmas.
Home Instead health care, has set up trees with seniors on them to solve this.
People can pick a senior and buy a gift for them that will be delivered by Home Instead.
“When we deliver those gifts and have our volunteers deliver those gifts, the smiles on their faces even before they even open the gift to see what it is. they’re just amazed that someone even thought of them,” said Brett Andrews, General Manager of Home Instead.
Most seniors ask for simple items like a blanket, gloves, or a puzzle. Each tag tells what the person is asking for and whether they are male or female but conceals their name for privacy purposes.
The drive begins Wednesday and goes until Christmas eve.
