Man Shot by Police in Minneapolis Dies

Police say the man shot by Minneapolis police Sunday night has died.

24-year-old Jamar Clark died Monday night after being on life-support since the shooting.

Clark was shot in the head Sunday by police in Minneapolis.

Police say Clark was a suspect in a domestic assault and was shot after allegedly interfering with paramedics who were trying to provide first aid to the victim.

The shooting prompted protests after some witnesses said the man was handcuffed and not resisting when he was shot.

More than 50 people were arrested Monday night after protesters blocked Interstate 94 in Minneapolis.

The organization “Black Lives Matter” is calling for the release of video authorities may have and the names of the officers involved in the shooting.

Minneapolis Mayor Betsy Hodges has asked for a federal civil rights investigation into the shooting.

A state investigation is already underway.
