One Injured after Deer Strikes Side of Car

One person was injured after a deer struck the driver’s side of the car, busting out the window. 

The Minnesota State Patrol responded to the accident around 9:30 Wednesday morning. 

They say a Honda Accord was traveling northbound on Highway 169 near 4th Avenue East in Hibbing when a deer came out of the ditch and struck the driver’s side of the vehicle. 

The impact caused the driver’s window to break. 

The driver was taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life threatening injuries.
