Bluebird Foundation Launches ‘Christmas by the Lake’ Volume IX

Northland musicians of all ages and abilities celebrated their work creating songs of the season.

Clyde Iron Works hosted the release party for Christmas by the Lake – Volume IX Wednesday night.

This year’s edition is a two CD set with 41 songs by musicians throughout the region.

All proceeds go to the Bluebird Foundation which gives grants and scholarships to kids in the performing arts.

“For some kids, it’s an outlet to take the right path or the wrong path. But particularly music, which is my thing, that’s a gift that you carry with you your whole life,” said Tracy Lundeen, producer of Christmas by the Lake.

The goal is to sell enough CDs to raise between $10,000 and $15,000.

CDs are $15 each and are available at area Superior One Foods, Pam’s Hallmark in the Miller Hill Mall, Duluth-Superior Engwall Florist locations and online at bluebirdfoundation.org.
