Food Banks in Need of Donations for Thanksgiving

Make a Canned Food or Monetary Donation

There are plenty of people who will be in need of a warm meal this Thanksgiving and you can help make it happen.

The Holiday is nearly a week away and some area food shelves are still looking for donations.

Second Harvest Northern Food Bank said whether it’s stuffing, potatoes or even a turkey you can drop-off a donation through next Wednesday.

“Honestly it is amazing. Like people are giving you hugs and saying God Bless you and giving you hugs and it is really moving when you hand a turkey to someone that didn’t have one before. It feels pretty good. We get all the thanks for everyone else donating,” said Second Harvest’s Program Director Dan Wilson.

You can also make a monetary donation.

One dollar is equal to five meals.
