Giving Thanks Feast

22nd Annual Event Organized by Students

For the 22nd consecutive year, the community was invited to dinner on the Fond Du Lac Tribal and Community College.

The college says the event was first held to raise awareness of the American Indian tradition of giving thanks for a productive harvest.

The dinner opened with drum and pipe ceremonies.

Turkey, venison, ham, and wild rice were served for dinner along with other traditional Thanksgiving foods such as mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce.

College president Larry Anderson said the popular event is a great opportunity to bring the community together at the college to enjoy each other’s company and share stories.
