Duluth Council To Vote On 2016 Tourism Revenue Payout

Duluth city councilors will be voting Monday night on hundreds of thousands of dollars in tourism tax dollars and where they should be distributed in 2016.

Councilor Joel Sipress says the council will vote on a proposal from Mayor Don Ness’ administration, which divvies up which tourism-based organizations and businesses should get the money and at what amount.

Among those on the list include Parks and Rec. at $200,000, the Depot at $50,000 and the cash-strapped Spirit Mountain at $250,000.
