Police Investigate Fatal Shooting In Minong

A death investigation was underway Sunday in Washburn County.

Authorities said 45-year-old Charles Kroeze was killed from a gunshot wound to the chest.

The shooting happened Saturday in the victim’s garage in the Town of Minong.

Authorities do not believe the shooting was criminal and that it was not a hunting accident.

An autopsy was pending Sunday.
