Suspect Dead in Columbia Heights Officer-Involved Shooting
Authorities have shot and killed a man they say was armed following a domestic violence incident in Columbia Heights Tuesday.
Early Tuesday morning, officers responded to a woman who was running and asking for help.
The woman took the officers back to a location where they encountered people involved in a domestic incident.
Police say they were met by a man who appeared to be armed.
The man was shot and killed by police. No one else was injured.
Columbia Heights Police Chief Scott Nadeau says one officer from his department and one officer from Fridley were involved in the shooting.
Both officers have been placed on administrative leave.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension is investigating the incident.
