Body Found in Search for Missing St. Cloud Student

A body has been found by volunteers searching in the Monticello area for a missing 24-year-old St. Cloud man. 

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office says volunteers from United Legacy Search, Rescue and Recovery who were looking for Tyler Berg, discovered the body around 2:30 Sunday afternoon in a marsh south of Interstate 94. 

Berg was last seen leaving his home the night of November 22.  

According to authorities, Berg’s car, a black Mercury Cougar, was found abandoned near Otter Creek Park in the City of Monticello on the morning of November 23. 

Clothing believed to have belonged to Berg was discovered in Otter Creek Park and the Monticello County Club golf course. 

An autopsy will be conducted on the body to determine the identity and cause of death.
