Bond Set at $1 Million for Hayward Murder Suspect
Bond has been at $1 million for a man accused of shooting and killing another man on the LCO Reservation in Hayward last week.
A 23-year-old man is being held behind bars pending possible charges of first-degree intentional homicide in connection to the shooting.
According to a probable cause statement, the 23-year-old is accused of shooting his sister’s boyfriend and killing him following an argument between the man and his sister.
The incident happened on Gunn Lake Road in the Township of Hayward on the morning of November 25.
Police say the victim died on scene from an apparent gunshot wound.
Just minutes later, the suspect turned himself in to the Sawyer County Sheriff’s Office.
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Kyle Ross.
According to his obituary, Ross is expecting a daughter in March with the suspect’s sister.
The suspect will make his initial court appearance on December 15.
