Victim ID’ed in Deer River Shooting

The teen who was accidentally shot by his friend in Deer River has been identified. 

Authorities say 17-year-old Dallas Graciano died after being shot by his 18-year-old friend. 

The Itasca County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident around 11:30 Sunday morning on reports of an accidental shooting. 

Authorities arrived and found Graciano dead. 

The 18-year-old was taken into custody, but has since been released on his own recognizance. 

The case has now been sent to the Itasca County Attorney’s Office to review for possible charges.
